HOW IS THE TREATMENT PERFORMED?

The patient, reclining on a stretcher is provided a cloth cap similar to those worn for swimming. The cap contains traced coordinates used to guide the magnetic coil to specific areas of the skull.

The coil generates a powerful electromagnetic charge that is both safe and painless. This charge generates a low intensity noise, so both the patient and the doctor use earplugs. The procedure induces a physical sensation much like a tapping on the scalp. The tapping may be a sight annoyance at first, but usually after two or three sessions patient is accustomed to the sensation and no longer finds it bothersome.
